Giving a talk

So I just found out that I am scheduled to give a talk during Sacrament Meeting on Sunday. I am a little nervous, but I know that the Holy Ghost will guide me. I really want to give an enjoyable talk. I am sure you all have been there when that person gets up there and gives a monotone talk that puts you to sleep.
I do not want to be that guy, so I am really putting in the time and effort to make my talk one that people will get a lot out of.
I am giving my talk on Agency so there is a lot to talk about. I have already printed off 25 pages of reference material so I should be good to go.

Enduring to the End

“Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.”

Once you have entered the strait and narrow path, you must exert every effort to stay on the path (2 Nephi 31:16-21). You must continue to grow in understanding, exercise continual faith in Jesus Christ, repent, renew your baptismal covenants by partaking of the sacrament, and follow the guidance of the Holy Ghost. These first principles and ordinances of the gospel are a lifelong commitment, often called “enduring to the end.” By patiently and faithfully following the gospel path, you will find direction, peace, and happiness in your life, allowing you to draw closer to God and qualifying you for eternal life ( 2 Nephi 31:20). You will better understand your relationship with your Father in Heaven, will feel His perfect love for you more abundantly, and will feel hope and a sense of purpose even in an unhappy and troubled world.

You lived with God

God is literally the Father of our spirits, and we lived with Him as His spirit children in a premortal existence before we were born on this earth.

Your life did not begin at birth, nor will it end at death. You have a spirit body (sometimes called the soul) and a physical body. Heavenly Father created your spirit, and you lived with Him as a spirit before you received your physical body and were born on earth. This period is called pre-earth life or premortal life.

Throughout your pre-earth life, you were taught the principles and commandments that would lead to happiness, with freedom to choose to grow in intelligence and love of the truth, or not. During this pre-earth life, Jesus Christ, then known as Jehovah was chosen as the Savior and you learned that, through Him, you would be able to overcome the effects of any wrong choices.
God’s purpose—His work and His glory—is to bring to pass the immortality (resurrection) and eternal life (life with God) of His children. He desires every one of His children to find peace in this life and a fullness of joy in His presence after this life. Heavenly Father knew that you could only progress to a certain point without the experience of mortality. In order to become more like Him, you would need to receive a physical body.

God our Father is the creator of our spirits, and we are created in His likeness physically when we are born.
Our mortal life also provides us with an opportunity to:

Gain experience from overcoming trials and temptations.
Learn to walk by faith.
Learn to choose between good and evil.
Thus, our Heavenly Father instituted His plan to help us reach our divine potential.

How finding the Church has impacted my life

Finding the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has changed my life beyond description.
I am so blessed to have found the Lord's true Church on earth!
I used to be selfish and self centered, but now I try my best to dedicate my life to the Lord and his work.

I used to have a void in my life I tried to fill for years with buying things for my car and racing my car every chance I got. Now that I have found the Church I have finally filled the void in my life. Now I am at peace and feel so much more in tune with my life and the Lord.
I love the way the Church helps others every chance they get. I also thought I would have a problem with tithing 10% of my salary to the Church, but once I started doing it I started receiving many more blessings in my life, now I cannot imagine how hard life would be without tithing to the Church and helping others every chance I get.

My life is so much better I wish I had the words to describe how it has had a positive affect on my life.
